Understanding publication-to-deadline gaps

Sep 1, 2026 – Sep 30, 2026

The date used belongs to the observed publication. A correction may follow the initial notice; application and tender submission phases are not separated. This gap is therefore not necessarily the initial response time given to businesses and cannot compare deadline rules across countries.

Median publication-to-deadline gap

30 days

31,659 of 61,130 notices included (51.8%). 29,471 notices excluded from the calculation.

Q1
27 days
Q3
34 days

Q1, median and Q3 locate 25%, 50% and 75% of the sample respectively. They describe a distribution, not statutory deadlines.

The median and mean use UTC calendar-day differences between publication and an exact, non-aggregate deadline: from 0 (same day) to 730 days. Other notices are excluded from these calculations.

How to read this barometer

Figures describe TED notices in Tenderiva’s current coverage. They measure publication activity, not procurement spend or economic market share. Today is excluded from period comparisons because it is incomplete.

The unit is a notice, not a lot or procedure. Superseded publications and unknown statuses are excluded. Language, title, country and CPV rules limit the observed scope. All eligible notice types are counted; these are not unique or new contracts.

The median and mean use UTC calendar-day differences between publication and an exact, non-aggregate deadline: from 0 (same day) to 730 days. Other notices are excluded from these calculations.

Values remain in their source currencies; no currency conversion is applied.
