The bridge and its immediate approaches have been identified as a safety blackspot due to a combination of poor horizontal and vertical alignment, substandard cross-sectional width, and deteriorating pavement conditions. The western approach exhibits fatigue and alligator cracking, while the bridge itself has suffered parapet damage from vehicular impacts, compromising edge restraint and posing a significant hazard to road users.
