The R250 – Droichead an Churraoin Road Realignment is located on the R250 Regional Road. The Droichead an Churraoin, located approximately 1.3 km west of Fintown, Co. Donegal is a narrow masonry arch structure with a span of 1.83 m and a width of 5.28 m. The bridge and its immediate approaches have been identified as a safety blackspot due to a combination of poor horizontal and vertical alignment, substandard cross-sectional width, and deteriorating pavement conditions. The western approach exhibits fatigue and alligator cracking, while the bridge itself has suffered parapet damage from vehicular impacts, compromising edge restraint and posing a significant hazard to road users.
