What is being procured?

UCD has developed a series of bacterial antigens which have proven effective in proof-of-concept studies and which the aim is to further develop and translate to humans. The lead target antigen is 22 kDa cytosolic bacterial protein and is currently His-tagged to facilitate affinity purification. UCD have developed a lab-scale expression and purification protocol, which will be provided to the successful contractor. We require contract protein manufacture and purification services. The purpose of the work is to appropriately scale-up the antigen to produce ~200mg batches of protein at a standard that will confirm feasibility of technology transfer and that can be used in GLP toxicology studies in mice, to ensure safety of the developed product.…
