El objetivo que se persigue es el buen estado de los sistemas de amarre y estructuras submarinas de los puertos para su correcta explotación, lo que hace necesaria la rápida sustitución o reparación de estos activos frente a roturas y desgastes. Asimismo, también tiene como objeto, además de dicho mantenimiento correctivo, un mantenimiento preventivo intenso, que se realizar en base a una serie de inspecciones previas en el puerto
