What is being procured?
The aim of the project is to obtain systematic knowledge on what importance the Norwegian level has for transition to work. The project shall examine how language requirements are used in different branches, how Norwegian proficiencies are assessed in practice, and what characterises employers who are successful in including people with limited Norwegian abilities. The project shall also analyse what factors contribute to immigrants coming in and staying in work, despite limited Norwegian proficiencies. The knowledge shall provide a better basis for understanding how language can function both as a door opener and barrier to participation in working life, and should be able to be used in policy development and to strengthen IMDi's guidance work and cooperation with employers, municipalitie
