Karlsøy municipality is an island community with ferry connections between Ringvassøy and Reinøy, Karlsøy, Vannøy and Rebbenesøy. Karlsøy municipality is responsible for road maintenance of approx. 25 km of municipal roads. Karlsøy municipality shall enter into new contracts for winter operations (snow clearing/clearing/gritting) on municipal roads and open spaces for all the areas in the municipality.
