What is being procured?
Die Klinik für Augenheilkunde der Halleschen Universitätsmedizin bildet das gesamte operative Spektrum möglicher Augenerkrankungen ab. Insbesondere im Bereich der Hornhauttransplantation, Netzhautchirurgie, Traumaversorgung, Tränenwegs- und Orbitachirugie, Versorgung von Tumor- und Uveitispatienten liegt ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal vor. Als überregionales Trauma-Zentrum und Hornhauttransplantationszentrum (Mitteldeutsche Cornea Bank), Aniridiezentrum sowie Netzhautzentrum ist die Augenklinik bereits deutschlandweit bekannt und nachgefragt. Am Standort werden jährlich ca. 19.000 Augenpatienten behandelt, davon 6.500 operativ und 3.500 stationär. Für Eingriffe am vorderen Augenabschnitt (Katarakt/Phakoemulsifikation) für die anteriore Vitrektomie sowie für Eingriffe am hinteren Augenabschnitt
