What is being procured?
This project delivers essential safety infrastructure for the Arklow community by replacing and installing twelve hazardous, corroded ladders with marine-grade steel units. Strategically installed at the North Quay commercial hub and South Quay leisure areas, these ladders provide critical emergency egress for the public and secure access for local fishing crews. By upgrading these high-use waterfront zones, the development fosters a safer environment for maritime employment, protects resident leisure users, and supports Arklow’s ongoing waterfront regeneration.
