What is being procured?

Danmarks Nationalbank is the central bank of Denmark and is an independent, self-governing institution established by law. In a strategic move announced during a press conference on November 30. 2023, Danmarks Nationalbank revealed its initiatives to ensure that cash remains a safe and efficient means of payment in the future. Recognizing the enduring importance of cash transactions, efforts are being made to enhance the safety and efficiency of banknotes, aligning them with technological advancements. The contracting authority is set to issue a new banknote series, anticipated that the first two (2) denominations are delivered in 2028 and the two (2) remaining denominations are delivered i 2029.
