What is being procured?

The contracting authority in the procurement is the Directorate of Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir). Bufdir heads Bufetat, which is organised in five regions and is responsible for the operation and services of the child welfare service, including child protection institutions, welfare centres for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers and centres for parents and children. To safeguard the needs of residents and employees, institutions and centres must be furnished. Bufetat has documented a need for the furnishing of flame retardant textiles and fixtures. There is a considerable number of fires in the institutions and centres, most of which occur in the resident rooms.
