What is being procured?

In summary, this public procurement competition relates to the awarding of a Contract for the development, manufacture, provision and maintenance of Body Armour and Tactical Body Armour for An Garda Síochána (AGS). The following is a summary of the equipment required (Candidates should please note that all capitalised terms used are defined within the Glossary of Terms contained within this PQQ): • Group I – Uniform and Specialist Personal Body Armour, soft ballistic and knife Protective Panels with a suitable Armour Carrier for wearing with the current AGS uniform. • Group II – Tactical Body Armour to include Soft Armour and Plates, with a suitable Armour Carrier with load carrying capability and ancillaries. • Group III – Ballistic Covert Body Armour.
