Dublin City Council (DCC) is leading the development of the Dublin District Heating Project (DDHP) which aims to capture waste heat from industrial facilities on the Poolbeg Peninsula, and pipe it into homes, businesses and civic buildings in the Poolbeg, Ringsend and Docklands areas of Dublin city via a pipeline network. The primary heat source for the project will be the Dublin Waste to Energy (DWtE) facility at Poolbeg. The DDHP requires the installation of underground, highly insulated District Heating pipes. Site investigations are required to assess ground conditions along the proposed route which will inform detailed design.
