The reason for the study is that the Government Manager, pursuring the EU's sewage directive and pollution regulations, has warned of stricter requirements for emissions of municipal sewage water. As a result of this, major investments must be made in new or upgrades/expanding the existing treatment facility in order for the municipalities ́ sewage services to fulfil these treatment requirements.
