The objective of the procurement is to acquire a new terahertz spectroscopy and imaging system suitable for research use for the AEC / MIC unit. The system will complement the infrastructure for materials manufacturing, processing, sample preparation, and microscopic examination developed within the FIRI project by introducing a non-contact electromagnetic characterization method for the sub-THz/THz frequency range. The system can be used to characterize the electromagnetic properties of materials, coatings, printed structures, composites, and ceramics without damaging the sample.
