The "Programme d'appui au développement durable et intégré en périphérie des aires protégées" (PADDI+) is cofinanced by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), in collaboration with the Ministère de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable (MEDD). The program aims to reduce the pressures on protected areas by promoting the sustainable and integrated development of communities living around national parks, as an alternative to the illegal exploitation of natural resources in protected areas. The budget of the program is EUR 34.500.000, with an implementation period of 81 months (07.2024 to 02.2031).…
