Waterways Ireland, in association with Fáilte Ireland is seeking to commission a pioneering and transformational Tourism Masterplan for a development corridor traversing the Grand Canal Barrow Line and Barrow Navigation. The overall objective of the Masterplan is to inform strategic planning decisions that will enable sustainable development of the Barrow Corridor and increase its appeal to both Domestic and International audiences, enabling it to become a key tourism destination. While the Masterplan is being commissioned through the lens of Tourism destination development, it is intended that local communities as well as visitors will benefit from the resulting recreational infrastructure and experience development investments.
