In 2025 Stranda municipality announced a competition for winter maintenance of municipal roads in Stranda municipality. This tender contest involves a new notice for one of the sub-contracts (lot 101 Stranda, Storgjerde/Langlo/Jakob). The winter maintenance includes the following: • snow clearing • snow clearing • gritting of salt and gravel • milling • stand-by in the period from 15 October to and including 15 April The winter maintenance does not apply to the snow clearing of private roads, as it was approved in the Municipal Council 30.04.25 that the municipality would wind up the scheme with snow clearing of private roads.
